Kino Regina
250 m², 250 people, from 380 € per hour, minimum 2 hours
Kino Regina on the first floor with 250 m2 of auditorium-style space is a suitable venue for lectures, film screenings and various events. The facility is accessible with the exception of the seats. Kino Regina is equipped with an induction loop.
By reserving Kino Regina you agree to comply with the rules for the facility.
Kino Regina can be booked
- Mondays to Tuesdays from 9:00 to 20:00
- Wednesdays to Fridays from 9:00 to 17:00
- Saturdays to Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00
You can make a reservation up to two weeks before your event at the latest. Reservations can be made roughly one year in advance. You can have a maximum of two active reservations for Kino Regina.
If necessary, you can cancel your reservation, free of charge, six weeks prior to the reserved time. Please notify us of the cancellation at oodi.tilat@hel.fi. Uncancelled reservations and reservations that were cancelled too late will be invoiced for.
Reserving the facility
You can make a preliminary reservation to the reservation calendar. We will contact you by email to confirm the reservation. Reservations can be made over a year in advance and two weeks prior to the reserved date at the latest. If you would need to make reservation more quickly, for example one week ahead, please contact us at oodi.tilat@hel.fi.
If necessary, you can cancel your reservation, free of charge, no later than six weeks prior to the reserved time. Please notify us of the cancellation at oodi.tilat@hel.fi. Uncancelled reservations and reservations that were cancelled too late will be invoiced for.
Any prior arrangements or other activities necessary for your event must be accounted for when making a reservation and completed within the timeframe you have booked. The 30-minute periods automatically marked at the beginning and the end of reservations are for the Oodi’s staff’s arrangements for the room. That time is not included in the reservation and not charged for. If you need an extra 30 minutes before or after your reserved time, please contact us and we will add it to your reservation if it’s possible, and charge according to the pricelist.

Furniture available for the facility
There are 250 very comfortable seats in Kino Regina. On the first row there are places for example wheelchairs and the seats on the first row are also fully accessible.
All extra furniture arrangements must be agreed upon no later than two weeks prior to the event by email: oodi.tilat@hel.fi. We might not be able to carry out any desired changes that we are notified of after this time. Optional additional furniture that can be delivered by agreement:
- chairs and low tables for panel speakers
- a higher table for the speaker
- tables for for example a registration near the entrance
- black screens, to which posters can be attached with pins
Technology in the facility
Please not that all prior arrangements for the event, such as the installing of streaming equipment, must be made within the reserved time frame. All technical arrangements must be agreed upon no later than two weeks prior to the event by email to oodi.tilat@hel.fi.
Film projectors
There are several film projectors available in Kino Regina. They are operated by the staff of the National Audiovisual Institute. To agree on the use of the projectors and their price please contact the staff at kinoregina@kavi.fi.
Speech
5 wireless hand-held microphones, 2 headset microphones and a podium microphone.
Image and sound
The space has a screen, video projector and sound projection, which you can attach your own device to using the HDMI cable at floor level. Please make sure to bring your own connectors that are compatible with our equipment.
Internet connection
The space is equipped with an open ‘Helsinki – Helsingfors’ wireless network connection.
Streaming
- Wired internet (Ethernet cable), average speed 800Mbps
- Summed audio for the room is available in the connection box. This is available with XLR cables. Please bring the connectors and cables that you need.
- iPad for adjusting microphone levels
- Two desks and chairs for the workstation
Technical services
The following are included in the facility reservation
- Technology agreed upon no later than two weeks in advance will be delivered to the facility, ready for use.
- At the start of the facility reservation a member of Oodi’s technical staff will provide advice and guidance on the use of the facility’s audiovisual technology (audio technology, projector).
The following are not included in the facility reservation
- Audio mixing during the event. We recommend bringing your own sound mixer
- Adjustment of lighting during the event
- Film screening – with the exception of services agreed with the National Audiovisual Institute
Film screening
You can connect your own device, such as a laptop computer equipped with a DVD or BluRay drive, to an HDMI cable that can be found at floor level. If your film file is on a USB drive you can use the same method of connecting your device to the HDMI cable to screen your film.
If you need film projectors, you must agree on their use and price with the staff of the National Audiovisual Institute at kinoregina@kavi.fi
Please note that if you screen copyrighted material in the facility (e.g. a film) you must have permission to do so. The customer is also responsible for complying with responsibilities specified in the Act on Audiovisual Programmes (710/2011) such as age ratings.
Catering services
No food is permitted inside Kino Regina but you can order catering for 80 people to be served outside the facilities. If you need catering for more people than that, you must book near-by Maijansali for the catering. Please contact us in matters concerning catering for larger groups: oodi.tilat@hel.fi.
